1. What is WinMx4U?

WinMX4U is the former MXPie Help Team members. The Reason we changed our name is due to a new, better and
safer patch, besides we can offer new, more and faster cache servers than ever before. WinMX4U will also
be used for our new website, www.winmx4u.com
2. What is MXPie Patch United?

MXPie Patch United is the new name of our new patch. This patch is in collaborate with WinMXWorld and
WinMX.com to make the WPN Network safer than before.
3. What does MXPie mean?

MX came of course from WinMX, and the PIE part actually stands for Peer Integration Exchange,
hence the MXPie Patch United. We choose to carry this name (MXPie) forward to our WinMX help rooms.
MXPie Patch United is often also referred to as the Piepatch, WinMX Patch, or WinMX Pie Patch.
4. Is WinMX4U a new name for WinMX?

The original WinMX software will always be known as WinMX. The WinMX4U Team chooses the name WinMX4U to
represent ourselves and our efforts in supporting the continuation of software for WinMX, and the
MXPie Patch United to carry the patch along to our users.
5. Where can I download MXPie Patch United?

MXPie Patch United is available from the "Downloads" section of this website.
6. Can I download WinMX and MXPie Patch United bundled together?

Yes, we have bundled the original WinMX and the patch in a new installer to make life easier for you.
Unfortunately we do not own the copyright to WinMX so therefore we do not have the legal right to modify
the original, so all we do is adding the original WinMX and the patch in a common installer.
Once the MXPie Patch United is installed you will be able to connect to the WinMX network as before.
7. If I had WinMX before Frontcode shutdown, do I need to get a new copy of the WinMX program?

No, just download and install MXPie Patch United and then WinMX will be able connect to the network again
using all your old WinMX settings.
8. I currently use the old MXPie patch. Should I remove it?

As a user, you have a choice of which patch to use. Removing it would be entirely at your discretion.
However, there are some advantages to using MXPie Patch United. Safer usage of the WPN Network is one
of them.
9. I currently use the Pie Auto Updater. Should I remove it?

As a user, you have a choice of which patch to use. Removing it would be entirely at your discretion.
However, there are some advantages to using MXPie Patch United. MXPie Patch United
has more servers available for connecting to WinMX and is compatible with the full version of PeerBlock 1.
If you choose to install MXPie Patch United, all you have to do is double click the installer.
10. What does the new installer do? Has it been tested?

Our software is well tested on many different operating systems before release. In addition, there will
always be a manual version available to download for those who prefer to install the patch without the
use of an automatic installer. For detailed information on how the MXPie Patch installer works please
see "Additional Info".
11. Will MXPie Patch United interfere with any of my other software? What about my bot, chat client, chat server,
and various other third-party WinMX add-ons, will these work with MXPie Patch?

MXPie Patch United does not interfere with any other software. In addition, most WinMX third-party tools
have already been modified by their respective creators.
12. I can't get MXPie Patch United to work, what should I do?

13. Will WinMX4U ever become a pay service?

No, WinMX4U will never charge users for any of its services or downloads. Our services are free to all who
choose to use them.
